We had the second annual Borracho party last week in Otaru. I think it was a bog success. The party was supposed to end at 9pm, but it ended up going beyond that. There were a couple of parties after the parties as well.
Photos are here.
Thank you for everyone who made it a big success and for the Salsa Sabarosa dancers who but on a great show.

Buena Vista Social Club is one of my favorite salsa CDs. It is a mix of danceable salsa, merengue and chill out Cuban Latin Jazz.
One of the famous Cuban musicians featured on this disc is Ry Cooder.
Track 4 Pueblo Nuevo is probably my most played. I am not really into salsa when I need to unwind but I love to listen to it driving and chilling out after a day in front of the computer.
If you are into salsa, Cuban or Latin music, this CD should be in your music library.
There will be plenty of salsa dancing at a great party planned for Friday, July 7 at the Otaru Soko #1, only 30 minutes from Sapporo. Dinner is included. Rumor has it that there is an Argentine Tango demonstration in the works.

There was another fun salsa party last Saturday night, February 4 in Otaru. There was a good mix of salsa dancers from Sapporo and Otaru, including some cute salsa dancing kids. The food and music were excellent. Eventhough it was very cold outside that night, everyone seemed to warm up once the dancing began.![]()
